UPEC `95 review
- Univ. of Glasgow (United Kingdom)
This article contains highlights of the 1995 Universities Power Engineering Conference, September 5--7, 1995, University of Greenwich, London, United Kingdom. The Thirtieth Universities Power Engineering Conference (UPEC) had a broad theme, covering all aspects of power engineering, and was attended by academics, research workers, and members of the power service industry and manufacturing organizations. Topics debated in three parallel groups of sessions and in the two poster sessions on the first day included power delivery and utilization, power system simulation and analysis, power generation, power system harmonics, alternative energy, and machines and drives. On the second day, there were parallel sessions and a poster session on power system protection, power system operation, economics and reliability, power generation, high voltage systems and measuring techniques, and power electronic devices and applications. Topics debated in parallel technical paper sessions and a poster session on the third day included machines and drives, power system protection, power electronic devices and applications, power system harmonics, and power delivery and utilization.
