An analytical solution of the nonsteady thermoelasticity problem is constructed for an infinite transversally isotropic medium containing an internal elliptical crack in the isotropy plane, in the case where an arbitrary linear temperature at the crack boundaries is specified as the boundary condition in the temperature problem. It is assumed that the crack surface is free from external loads. Values are obtained for the stress-intensity coefficients, which depend on the temperature, the crack dimensions, and the thermoelastic properties of the medium. Note that analogous problems were considered in the case of an isotropic body. Some solutions of the steady problems for an infinite transversally isotropic body with a disk-shaped crack were given. Nonsteady heat-conduction problems and quasi-static thermoelasticity problems were solved for a transversally isotropic body with a disk-shaped crack.
