UK-US Collaboration on Fossil Energy R&D: Materials for Advanced Boiler and Oxy-Combustion
- National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA, Morgantown, WV, and Albany, OR (United States)
The aim of this work was to develop further understanding of the corrosion mechanisms found on the heat exchanger surfaces present in oxy-combustion and coal/biomass co-fired combustion systems, and to develop a modeling capability to predict the effect of the different fuels on the lifetime of plant components.
