Determination of the thermodynamic phases of {sup 4}He adsorbed on H{sub 2} plated graphite

Thermodynamic measurements have been used to investigate the surface phases of monolayer {sup 4}He adsorbed on graphite plated with 1.45, 2.15, and 3.15 layers of H{sub 2}. In each case the {sup 4}He preferentially adsorbed on the lower completed layer. In this paper we report the measurements of {sup 4}He on the 1.45 layer H{sub 2} graphite plating. For this plating the {sup 4}He goes into a condensed phase below 0.87 K. The high temperature-low density film entropy has been calculated.
