Impacts of Biopolymer Structural and Chemical Attributes on the Products Distributions of Pyrolyzed Loblolly Pine

Conference ·
OSTI ID:1823449

This presentation evaluates the impact that biopolymer structural and chemical attributes of pyrolyzed loblolly pine has on product distributions, with a focus on how how the anatomical fractions lead to chemical variability, and then how this variability impacts conversion. As an example, bark and needles represent extreme compositional fractions, and these result in differences in pyrolysis yield.
