As a product of China`s Reform and Open-Door Policy, Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station is the largest joint-venture project which is also the largest commercial nuclear power plant currently under construction in China mainland. It involves not only massive investment but also utilizes full scale international practices in respect of project and operations management of nuclear power stations. Organized and executed strictly in accordance with international standards, the Daya Bay project marks the first step taken by China in the development programme of large-capacity commercial nuclear power units.
