The solid-state electronic structure of oxidized actinides was probed by co-crystallization of Np(vi), Pu(vi), Am(vi), and Np(v) with UO₂(NO₃)₂·6H₂O. XAS measurements and the solid-state absorption spectra were coupled with theoretical calculations.
