Tc2AlSb crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Tc2AlSb ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Tc3- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Al3+ and one Sb3+ atom. The Tc–Al bond length is 2.49 Å. The Tc–Sb bond length is 2.53 Å. Al3+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Tc3- atoms. Sb3+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Tc3- atoms.
