LaAg2Hg is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Ag and six equivalent Hg atoms. All La–Ag bond lengths are 3.14 Å. All La–Hg bond lengths are 3.63 Å. Ag is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent La and four equivalent Hg atoms. All Ag–Hg bond lengths are 3.14 Å. Hg is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to six equivalent La and eight equivalent Ag atoms.
