Materials Data on Mg2CuIr by Materials Project
Mg2IrCu crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Mg2IrCu ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Mg is bonded in a linear geometry to one Ir and one Cu atom. The Mg–Ir bond length is 2.46 Å. The Mg–Cu bond length is 2.51 Å. Ir is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms. Cu is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms.
