CrTc2Ga crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two CrTc2Ga ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Cr3+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Tc3- atoms. Both Cr–Tc bond lengths are 2.14 Å. Tc3- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cr3+ and one Ga3+ atom. The Tc–Ga bond length is 2.48 Å. Ga3+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Tc3- atoms.
