TaRh2Ga crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two TaRh2Ga ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Ta is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Rh atoms. Both Ta–Rh bond lengths are 2.18 Å. Rh is bonded in a linear geometry to one Ta and one Ga atom. The Rh–Ga bond length is 2.46 Å. Ga is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Rh atoms.
