VOs2Ga is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. V2+ is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Os2- atoms. All V–Os bond lengths are 2.63 Å. Os2- is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent V2+ and four equivalent Ga2+ atoms. All Os–Ga bond lengths are 2.63 Å. Ga2+ is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Os2- atoms.
