Materials Data on La2ZnCd by Materials Project
La2CdZn crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two La2CdZn ribbons oriented in the (0, 1, 0) direction. La is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cd and one Zn atom. The La–Cd bond length is 3.19 Å. The La–Zn bond length is 2.96 Å. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent La atoms. Zn is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent La atoms.
