Materials Data on LaYIr2 by Materials Project
LaYIr2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two LaYIr2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. La is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ir atoms. Both La–Ir bond lengths are 2.43 Å. Y is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ir atoms. Both Y–Ir bond lengths are 2.58 Å. Ir is bonded in a linear geometry to one La and one Y atom.
