Materials Data on Sn3Bi by Materials Project
BiSn3 is alpha bismuth trifluoride structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Sn sites. In the first Sn site, Sn is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Sn atoms. All Sn–Sn bond lengths are 3.33 Å. In the second Sn site, Sn is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Sn and four equivalent Bi atoms. All Sn–Bi bond lengths are 3.33 Å. Bi is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Sn atoms.
