These proceedings represent papers presented at the 5th conference on the intersections of particle and nuclear physics held in Florida. The aim of this conference was to bring together the particle and nuclear physics community and to discuss research efforts common to both subdisciplines. The topics spanned an extremely large energy range, from fundamental physics to the top quark. The standard model was a focus of interest in how well it described the physical phenomena. The conference was sponsored by DOE and the many facilities run by DOE, including Fermi National Accelerator laboratory, CEBAF, Los Alamos National laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Argonne National Laboratory, Indiana University Cyclotron Facility, and TRIUMF. The papers presented covered some of the research done at the above laboratories. There were 160 papers presented at conference and all of them have been abstracted for the Energy Science and Technology database. (AIP)
