Mg2AcCe is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mg is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Ac and four equivalent Ce atoms. All Mg–Ac bond lengths are 3.49 Å. All Mg–Ce bond lengths are 3.49 Å. Ac is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Mg atoms. Ce is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Mg atoms.
