The formation of hydroperoxides in the {gamma}-radiolysis of cyclohexane was studied over a wide concentration range of molecular oxygen. Features of the radiation-induced oxidation were explained on the basis of an assumption on the pairwise distribution of radicals R and HO{sub 2} produced upon capture of H atoms by molecular oxygen. A simultaneous increase in the yield of hydroperoxides at high concentrations of oxygen is accounted for by the interaction of peroxide radicals with the unrelaxed molecules of the medium.
