Materials Data on ReRhN5Cl7 by Materials Project
ReCl6RhNCl(N2)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/m space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of sixteen ammonia molecules, four hexachlororhenium molecules, and four RhNCl clusters. In each RhNCl cluster, Rh3+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one N+0.20+ and one Cl1- atom. The Rh–N bond length is 1.70 Å. The Rh–Cl bond length is 2.68 Å. N+0.20+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one Rh3+ atom. Cl1- is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one Rh3+ atom.
