Directing Photogenerated Charges Along Individual Carbon Nanotubes
- Univ. of Rochester, NY (United States); Univ. of Rochester
A long-standing and significant challenge in the field of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) optics is to determine the influence of optically forbidden electronic states on the photophysical properties of the nanotube. Here we will report on several spectroscopic and force microscopic studies with the goal of more fully understanding the properties of excitons coupled to defects in SWCNTs.
