Materials Data on Li2CaCd by Materials Project
Li2CaCd crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Li2CaCd ribbons oriented in the (0, 1, 0) direction. Li is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to one Ca and one Cd atom. The Li–Ca bond length is 3.45 Å. The Li–Cd bond length is 2.91 Å. Ca is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Li atoms. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Li atoms.
