Materials Data on In3Cu by Materials Project
CuIn3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Cu is bonded to twelve equivalent In atoms to form CuIn12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent CuIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent InIn8Cu4 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent CuIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent InIn8Cu4 cuboctahedra. All Cu–In bond lengths are 3.17 Å. In is bonded to four equivalent Cu and eight equivalent In atoms to form InIn8Cu4 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent InIn8Cu4 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent CuIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent InIn8Cu4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent CuIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent InIn8Cu4 cuboctahedra. All In–In bond lengths are 3.17 Å.
