Be2HfTi crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Be2HfTi ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Be is bonded in a linear geometry to one Hf and one Ti atom. The Be–Hf bond length is 2.59 Å. The Be–Ti bond length is 2.49 Å. Hf is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Be atoms. Ti is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Be atoms.
