Materials Data on LaU3 by Materials Project
U3La is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. U is bonded to eight equivalent U and four equivalent La atoms to form ULa4U8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent ULa4U8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent LaU12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent ULa4U8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent LaU12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent ULa4U8 cuboctahedra. All U–U bond lengths are 3.21 Å. All U–La bond lengths are 3.21 Å. La is bonded to twelve equivalent U atoms to form LaU12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent LaU12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent ULa4U8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent LaU12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent ULa4U8 cuboctahedra.
