This paper is a progress report on FINUDA, a detector dedicated to the spectroscopy and decay modes of {Lambda}-hypernuclei produced from {ital K}{sup {minus}} at rest. It will be installed at DA{Phi}NE, the {phi}-factory in construction at the Frascati National Laboratory. The detector will exploit at best the properties of the {ital K}{sup {minus}}from {phi} decay, that have {similar_to}16 MeV and are background free and tagged. Even at the initial luminosity of DA{Phi}NE L=10{sup 32} cm{sup {minus}2} s{sup {minus}1} an unprecedented step forward in Hypernuclear Physics is expected. {copyright} {ital 1995} {ital American} {ital Institute} {ital of} {ital Physics}.
