Ac2OBr2 is Cyanogen Chloride-like structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/mmm space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of one Ac2OBr2 cluster. Ac is bonded in a linear geometry to one O and one Br atom. The Ac–O bond length is 2.24 Å. The Ac–Br bond length is 2.82 Å. O is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ac atoms. Br is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one Ac atom.
