Gd2AgIn is Heusler-like structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Gd is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Ag and four equivalent In atoms. All Gd–Ag bond lengths are 3.18 Å. All Gd–In bond lengths are 3.32 Å. Ag is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Gd atoms. In is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Gd atoms.
