Zr2RhPt crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Zr2RhPt ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Zr is bonded in a linear geometry to one Rh and one Pt atom. The Zr–Rh bond length is 2.36 Å. The Zr–Pt bond length is 2.51 Å. Rh is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Zr atoms. Pt is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Zr atoms.
