Analysis of the triple-alpha process in the potential model
- Technische Universitaet, Institut fuer Kernphysik, Vienna (Austria)

The potential model is applied to the study of the triple-alpha process. The two reaction steps were treated consistently using the folding procedure for the optical and bound-state potentials. The low-temperature reaction rates obtained in the potential model are calculated and compared with earlier calculations. {copyright} {ital 1995} {ital American} {ital Institute} {ital of} {ital Physics}.
