The s-process cross sections of the tin isotopes

A recent investigation of the abundance pattern in the Cd--In--Sn region has shown that the s- and r-process contributions to the rare isotopes {sup 113}In, {sup 114}Sn, and {sup 115}Sn are not sufficient to account for the observed stellar abundances. Furthermore, the s-process contributions may also depend on temperature due to branchings at low lying isomers. For the reliable determination of the s-process abundances, the stellar (n,{gamma}) cross sections have been measured for {sup 114{minus}118}Sn and {sup 120}Sn using the Karlsruhe 4{pi} BaF{sub 2} detector. {copyright} {ital 1995} {ital American} {ital Institute} {ital of} {ital Physics}.
