State and local air pollution associations make NO{sub x} control recommendations
State and local agencies seeking to control NO{sub x} emissions (and facilities forced to implement the controls) may wish to consult a recently published document entitled Controlling Nitrogen Oxides Under the Clean Air Act: A Menu of Options. This document describes the primary sources of NO{sub x}, both mobile and stationary, and provides recommendations for NO{sub x} control. The State and Territorial Air Pollution Program Administrators (STAPPA), in cooperation with the Association of Local Air Pollution Control Officials (ALAPCO), published the document in July 1994. This paper covers briefly the combustion sources, control strategies, and recommendations for reduction. 1 ref., 2 tabs.
