The Y-12 National Security Complex (Y-12) participates in the Fuel Fabrication Pillar of the National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA’s) Office of Material Minimization and Management (M3) Office of Conversion Pillar. Y-12’s primary responsibility is to establish the fabrication process for the low-enriched uranium-molybdenum (LEU-Mo) feedstock.
