Currently, commercially available field emission sources suffer either from being hard to scale-up or customize in shape/form factor, low output emission current, or temporal emission current stability, or combination of these factors. In this project, field emitters based on (N)UNCD can solve all three issues at a time, and thus become a leading state-of-the-art field emitter technology.
