Carbon dioxide mineralization converts CO2 into stable carbonates. Fine carbonates, such as precipitated calcium carbonate, are mineral commodities used as additives to a wide range of consumer and industrial products. In this project, we develop two CO2 mineralization processes that Utilize industrial waste streams, including coal ashes and produced water, as low-carbon calcium sources Generates alkalinity at low energy and economic cost using waste alkaline materials or ion-exchange Integrate CO2 emission control with wastewater management
