Violation of the combined charge-parity symmetry (CP violation) in the Standard Model (SM) arises from a single irreducible phase in the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) quark-mixing matrix [1,2]. A primary objective of the Belle experiment is to overconstrain the unitarity triangle of the CKM matrix related to Bu;d decays.
