Analyses of Extreme Ultraviolet Spectra from Tokamak Plasmas
- Univ. of California, Berkeley, CA (United States). Space Sciences Lab.
The most recent work was a one-year extension of work started in 2015, for a total duration of three years. During this time we performed detailed spectral analyses of extreme ultraviolet spectra taken by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory on the National Spherical Torus Experiment and the Lithium Tokamak Experiment at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, and the Alcator C-Mod tokamak at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Our analyses focused on the K-shell emission of lithium and the L-shell emission of oxygen, fluorine, carbon, aluminum, silicon, sulfur, and calcium, measured with the Long-Wavelength Extreme Ultraviolet Spectrometer from LLNL. Data analyses are complete, as documented by poster and oral presentations and by published papers. The most recent and final year focused on finishing and publishing the analysis of data from the NSTX tokamak and from the Alcator tokamak, which included documenting charge exchange-produced carbon lines in the EUV spectral region and emission lines from fluorinelike ions.
