Bases for Design of MSBR System for Temperatures to 1300°F

High temperature components for nuclear power plants are designed using rules and materials data given in Code Case 1331-7 for temperatures above the 800°F limit in Section III of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Since current Code Cases do not cover high temperature design using Hastelloy N, interim data are presented for applying Code Case 133l-7 for Hastelloy N until the composition of "Modified Hastelloy N" has been set and sufficient data are available to obtain a revision to the Code Case.
