Sr7CaFe4(CoO5)4 crystallizes in the triclinic P1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are twenty-eight inequivalent Sr2+ sites. In the first Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to three O2- atoms. There are a spread of Sr–O bond distances ranging from 1.90–2.42 Å. In the second Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to three O2- atoms. There are a spread of Sr–O bond distances ranging from 1.90–2.43 Å. In the third Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to three O2- atoms. There are one shorter (1.91 Å) and two longer (2.42 Å) Sr–O bond lengths. In the fourth Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to three O2- atoms. There are a spread of Sr–O bond distances ranging from 1.82–2.43 Å. In the fifth Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to three O2- atoms. There are a spread of Sr–O bond distances ranging from 1.90–2.42 Å. In the sixth Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to four O2- atoms. There are a spread of Sr–O bond distances ranging from 1.88–2.94 Å. In the seventh Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to two O2- atoms. There are one shorter (1.92 Å) and one longer (2.62 Å) Sr–O bond lengths. In the eighth Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to four O2- atoms. There are a spread of Sr–O bond distances ranging from 1.91–2.83 Å. In the ninth Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to two O2- atoms. There are one shorter (1.96 Å) and one longer (2.61 Å) Sr–O bond lengths. In the tenth Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to two O2- atoms. There are one shorter (1.88 Å) and one longer (2.53 Å) Sr–O bond lengths. In the eleventh Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to four O2- atoms. There are a spread of Sr–O bond distances ranging from 1.85–2.94 Å. In the twelfth Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to two O2- atoms. There are one shorter (1.88 Å) and one longer (2.54 Å) Sr–O bond lengths. In the thirteenth Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to four O2- atoms. There are a spread of Sr–O bond distances ranging from 1.90–2.89 Å. In the fourteenth Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a distorted trigonal non-coplanar geometry to three O2- atoms. There are a spread of Sr–O bond distances ranging from 1.64–2.27 Å. In the fifteenth Sr2+ site, Sr2+ is bonded in a distorted trigonal non-coplanar geometry to three O2- atoms. There are a spread of Sr–O bond distances ranging from 1.72–2.31 Å.
