Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:147457

This report describes the design, implementation, and results of the data collection, data analysis, and air quality modeling analyses conducted as part of the Gulf of Mexico Air Quality Study (GMAQS). This effort, sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Interior`s Minerals Management Service (MMS), entailed collection of supplemental air quality, meteorological, and emission inventory data during the summer of 1993, a detailed analysis of the data, and the application of a meteorological/photochemical modeling system to assess the potential ozone impacts that offshore petroleum development sources in the Gulf of Mexico may have upon the onshore nonattainment areas of Texas and Louisiana.
