Bose-Einstein rapidity correlations of {pi} mesons in processes multiparticle production are calculated in the model of a static source and the model of a relativistically expanding source. In both models, the normalized correlation function has a small narrow peak (relative to variations of the rapidity difference) that is due to integration with respect to transverse momenta. The effect is smaller for nuclear collisions. The two types of sources can be distinguished by the different dependences of the effect on the average rapidity of {pi}-meson pair. These properties are also reflected in the behavior of factorial moments. 4 refs.
