GoAmazon2014/5 Rain Rates from the SIPAM Manaus S-band Radar

Dataset ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.5439/1459578· OSTI ID:1459578
Two years of volumetric radar observations acquired during the GoAmazon2014/5 field campaign by the SIPAM S-band radar in Manaus, Brazil were used to create rain rate estimates from radar reflectivity by Texas A&M University. Estimates of rain rates were generated using radar reflectivity data from the 2.5 km level and a Z-R relationship of Z=174.8*R^1.56.
