Title: Combined Thermal/Epithermal Neutron and Crated Waste Assay Monitor portfolio

Software ·
OSTI ID:1405119

Various components of CTEM/CWAM portfolio: TGS-FIT - This software performs low resolution tomagraphic imaging and implements a full Beer's law attenuation, correction, between transmission and emission images. Energies are mapped using the material basis set formalism developed at LANL (this is not proprietary). MAKE-MAT - MAKE-MAT calcualtes new matrices for the TGS-FIT. Both TGS-FIT and MAKE-MAT are components of the CTEN/CWAM (Combined Thermal/Epithermal Neutron and Crated Waste Assay Monitor portfolio. LIST-LIB (object library), version 1 - LIST-LIB is a set of related functions for anlaysis of list mode neutron concidence data analyses available include Rossi Alphay Fennman, reduced feynmann, and similar classic methods. It uses binary list files generated by the WIN-CTEW program and will be linked to the CTEN-FIT program (both are LANL programs). It will also be used in other applications, probably. BM DLL Dynamic Link Library, version 1 - This is a library of 32-bit windows graphics functions for displaying low resolution images such as those generated by TGS-FIT (another LANL program). If displaying radiographic views, slice views, and scale views in user-selectable color scales. Combined Thermal/Epithermal Neutron (CTEN-FIT EXE), Version 1.0 - CTEN-FIT does analysis and databasing of data generated by the WIN-CTEN program, a companion program developed by us. It communicates results and basic information taken from the data files to the microsoft EXCEL version 8.0 program, using the OLE automation features of EXCEL. This gives the user access to the data and results in an accessible form. The analysis techniques used are described in recent literature. WIN-CTEN. EXE, version 1 - WIN-CTEN performs data acquisition for the CTEN, CWAM and similar passive - active newtron (PAN) systems. It controls a CAMAC crate and secondary (AMAC crate via a GPIB interface. The data collected are of 2 forms. (1) List mode data collected through a PATRM module. (2) Scaler count data (time grated). The data are written to ASCII and Binary files in conformance with requirements put forth by WIPP for certification of TRU waste. Additional data acquired is barometric pressure through a commercial device attached to the serial port.
