Semiempirical analysis of perturbations in the 3s,3d-triplet complex of states of the hydrogen molecule: Absolute transition probabilities to the b{sup 3}{Sigma}{sub c}{sup +} and c{sup 3}{Pi}{sub u}{sup +=} states
- St. Petersburg State Univ. (Russian Federation)
The experimental data on the radiative lifetimes of the rovibronic states in the h{sup 3}{Sigma}{sub g}{sup +}, g{sup 3}{Sigma}{sub g}{sup +}, i{sup 3}{Pi}{sub g}{sup {+-}}, and j{sup 3}{Delta}{sub g}{sup {+-}} electronic terms of the hydrogen molecule are analyzed using a nonadibatic model that includes the perturbations in the 3s,3d-triplet complex of H{sub 2} states and the spontaneous transitions to the stable c{sup 3}{Pi}{sub u}{sup {+-}} and dissociative b{sup 3}{Sigma}{sub u}{sup +} states. The ratios between the dipole moments of electronic 3s{Sigma}, 3d{Sigma}, 3d{Delta} {yields} 2p{Pi} and 3d{Pi} {yields} 2p{Pi} transitions are taken to be equal to those obtained in our previous analysis of the measured branching ratios of the rovibronic spontaneous-emission lines. The optimum values of the dipole moments of 3d{Pi} {yields} 2p{Pi} and 3s{Sigma}, 3d{Sigma}, 3d{Pi} {yields} 2p{Sigma} transitions are found for the internuclear-distance range 1.5 < r < 2.8 a.u. by minimizing the standard deviation between the measured and calculated lifetimes (except for the h{sup 3}{Sigma}{sub g}{sup +}, v=1,N=2 state). The results obtained allow one to describe 23 of 28 known literature data within a precision of the spectroscopic experiment. 33 refs., 5 figs., 2 tabs.
