The influence of the selection of the Franck-Condon-factors database on electron energy distribution in a low-temperature nitrogen plasma was discussed. Databases were formed by quantum-mechanical calculations of relative probabilities of electronic-vibrational transitions in an N{sub 2} molecule using the models of harmonic oscillator, anharmonic Morse oscillator, and RKR interaction potential for N atoms. It was shown that electron energy distribution is not very sensitive to the interaction potential in a molecule. It was also found that values for some high-threshold rate coefficients at profound vibrational disequilibrium depend a great deal on the careful consideration of the role of upper vibrational levels of the ground electronic state in the formation of electronically excited molecules.
