Competitive electricity markets in practice: Experience from Norway

Norway has restructured its electricity industry comprehensively, at both wholesale and retail levels, to implement a more competitive model. While this experiment-in-progress may not be directly applicable to the US, Norway`s experience offers a vision of an alternative future for the US industry.
