The effect of the environment on CMCs is investigated by the way of ultrasonic measurements of uniaxial Young`s modulus in the 20{degrees}C-1200{degrees}C temperature range. Results obtained for SiC/C/SiC, C/SiC and SiC/LASM are interpreted by taking into account the oxidation phenomena, the fiber/matrix thermal expansion mismatch, and the phase change in the matrices.
