Here, to clarify the key factor for the slow magnetic transitions in CeIr3Si2 and other materials, magnetization and neutron scattering measurements have been carried out on the system Ce(IrxRh1–x)3Si2. In this system, a magnetic phase transition is accomplished through slow and fast processes. The fractions of these processes vary with the chemical composition x. A new interpretation of magnetic phase transitions, which includes the coexistence of two processes, is presented.
