Determination of the generalized thermomechanical diagram of shape memory alloys in plane bending

The basic deformation and force characteristic of materials with thermomechanical memory is the relationship of the reactive recovery stresses in absolutely rigid counteraction to the specified plastic deformation. This article discusses a method of experimental determination of the generalized relationship of the reactive recovery stresses to the amount of unrecovery deformation with preliminary deformation by plane bending. The proposed design and a method of experimental determination of the generalized thermomechanical curve may be used in finding the deformation and load characteristics of alloys with shape memory with a specified bending deformation under conditions of which a whole series of load assemblies operates.
