ZrC is Tetraauricupride structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Zr4+ is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent C4- atoms. All Zr–C bond lengths are 2.54 Å. C4- is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Zr4+ atoms.
